Hi, I’m Stephanie Elder, DNP, MBA, ARNP, MSCP, a dedicated Nurse Practitioner and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, with over 20 years of clinical experience in cardiovascular health.

My journey in medicine started with a passion for sports medicine, health, and fitness, and has evolved into a comprehensive approach to menopause and metabolic health—bridging the gap between advanced medical science and real-world wellness strategies.

With my unique background in cardiovascular care, hormone optimization, and metabolic health, I bring a whole-body, longevity-focused approach to treating midlife health concerns. I am committed to evidence-based, compassionate care that empowers women to take control of their health, feel stronger, and live longer, healthier lives.

Mahkala Perkins is the Clinic Manager at Evolve Menopause & Cardiometabolic Clinic, where she combines empathy, intelligence, and dedication to create an exceptional patient experience. 

Known for her caring nature and genuine compassion, Mahkala ensures that every patient feels seen, supported, and empowered throughout their health journey.

Her path in healthcare began as a Patient Service Representative, where she dedicated three years to building strong relationships with patients and ensuring their needs were met. That experience sparked her passion to further her career in patient care, leading her to expand her education and clinical skills. She went on to graduate with honors and a 4.0 GPA from Pima Medical Institute as a Medical Assistant, and later earned her Medical Administration degree from Penn Foster Academy, also with honors. Currently, she is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree, continuing to build her leadership and expertise.

Mahkala has also worked extensively as a Referral Coordinator and Medical Assistant, roles that strengthened her ability to navigate complex healthcare systems, advocate for patients, and provide personalized, detail-oriented support.

At Evolve, Mahkala is deeply connected to the clinic’s mission. She works closely with the care team to deliver personalized care plans while creating a welcoming environment that prioritizes patient comfort and trust. Her intelligence, warmth, and unwavering commitment make her not just a leader, but an advocate and partner for every patient who walks through the door.

Lavonne Searle, ARNP

Family Nurse Practitioner

Lavonne Searle, ARNP

Lavonne Searle, ARNP, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with years of experience in women's health, including roles at Planned Parenthood, OB/GYN clinics, and Midi Health, where she provided full-scope virtual menopause care.

She is a member of The Menopause Society and holds a Master's degree in Nursing from Gonzaga University. Her own experience through the menopausal transition and seeing firsthand how often women are dismissed or under-supported led her to specialize exclusively in midlife hormone health. She is also a certified menopause coach, bringing additional training in lifestyle and long-term wellbeing alongside hormone-focused care. At Evolve, Lavonne focuses on hormone optimization, working with patients to build personalized, evidence-based plans that restore balance and help them feel like themselves again.

Kailyn Owens, RMA, CPT

Medical Office Coordinator

Kailyn Owens

Kailyn Owens is a Registered Medical Assistant and Certified Phlebotomy Technician with a bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management & Leadership.

She has experience in women’s health, regenerative medicine, and preventive care, supporting both clinical services and patient care coordination.

In addition to her clinical background, Kailyn oversees scheduling, patient communications, medical documentation, and operational workflows to ensure a seamless patient experience. She is passionate about advancing women’s health through compassionate, patient-centered care and is dedicated to supporting women through all stages of life, from reproductive health to menopause and cardiometabolic wellness.
